LOFT: What do you love about teaching?
Helping people to achieve their health/ fitness/ lifestyle goals and watching them exceed their own expectations.
LOFT: Why Pilates?
Pilates is the best form of exercise, period. You can train strength, mobility, control, it’s so versatile and dynamic, it never gets boring.
LOFT: What do you hope your clients will get out of your classes?
Sweat and fatigue. I want people to push past their limits and embrace the challenge of pilates. For people who have never done pilates, it can be as challenging as any form of exercise they’ve done before and I want to open up peoples eyes to that.
LOFT: Where do you love to or dream of travelling?
I’ve always wanted to snowboard in Japan, but apart from that, any surf trip in warm water with pumping surf will do.
LOFT: Describe your teaching style:
Counting slowly backwards from ten and encouraging people to push through fatigue.
LOFT: What is your favourite Pilates exercise and why?
Favourite exercise depends on the day, but my main two would upside down chin ups and side lying legs in straps. Awesome exercises for scapula and hip stability and super challenging.
LOFT: What are you reading / watching?
I’m currently watching Unsolved on Netflix, which is about the investigation into the Tupac and Biggie Smalls murders. As for reading, I love the classics, currently getting through Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
